"Competing regularly means my horse is constantly exposed to new environments, noise, and pressure—which used to lead to tension and unpredictable behavior (spooking at flower boxes, jump decorations, or even subtle shadows), especially during our jumping rounds. After trying Dragon Paste, made by Equine Choice, I noticed a huge difference. Within an hour, he was visibly more settled and attentive without losing any of his energy or sharpness over fences. He stayed focused and relaxed from the first fence to the last. This product has made a real difference in our performance and our partnership as he's able to respond to me better without stressing about things going on around him. It’s made showing so much more enjoyable for both of us! Dragon paste has become a staple in our show bag."

“You have created such a great product with Dragon Paste! After having the pleasure of testing out this product on 4 horses this weekend... I can honestly say it works, and really well. The weather this week was unpredictable, cold, and rainy and during ring rides pre Dragon Paste the horses were testy, tense, and not at all suitable for their amateur riders... And after their breakfast and Dragon Paste they all performed well and ribboned well! It was used on all ages, stages and caliber of horses — from seasoned Hunters to equitation horses to Grand Prix horses and all horses reacted well and had the same desired outcome, which was a calm focused horse without loosing the jump or the stride or the movement. It is so convenient to have one product I can administer once just a few hours out and have that level of Zen! I am used to mixing Shen Calmer, Zylkene, Pre and Probiotics, Magnesium... This is so much easier!”

“This show-safe supplement is easy to give and helps keeps my horses relaxed and focused — just the way we like them on show day! I love how easy dragon paste is to administer, it's fast acting, all natural and horse show safe. We love a relaxed and focused horse on show days and it's a great supplement to add to my routine ring preparation!“

“I recently used Dragon Paste to take my big 4 year old (Ennis) on his first off property experience. Dragon Paste was so easy to give and it came right out of the tube without a fight. It must have tasted pretty good because he came back to lick the tube which I have never had a horse do before with calming paste. Dragon Paste worked quickly and made the whole experience so pleasant. Ennis was calm and unphased by everything, taking each step of the adventure in stride. Although he was calm and relaxed he still felt very rideable and ‘with it’. He never felt drowsy or lethargic. He felt like the same horse at home and off property with the Dragon Paste.”

Emily Gaynor

“This paste is absolutely wonderful! I used it on my young horse this past week. He was calm, focused, and ready for anything I asked of him. I highly recommend this for any horse that needs to relax and enjoy their time in a new or different situation. He didn’t even mind the taste of it either 10/10"

Heather Boyko

“Bringing along young horses means every day is different - and isn’t always a smooth experience. Dragon Paste has become a staple in my program for helping the horses stay focused and confident in new or high pressure environments. I love that it supports their gut and mind without taking the edge off their natural character. It’s a game changer for show days, loading, and off-property training.”

Cameron Edwards

“I finally had an opportunity last weekend to use the Dragon Paste on my big grey horse, Rock! He's extremely strong when running and gets excited really easily at rodeos - the Dragon Paste worked perfect! He was so much more relaxed even with the added pressure of more runs; he was focused and helped me win 3 cheques in Quebec last weekend! I'm so happy with the results of the new product! I'm usually trying to slow him down specifically for rodeos and had no problem getting him relaxed without experiencing side effects! It was so easy and convenient to use when on the road. I absolutely love it!! Definitely going to be in our routine from here on out!”

Scott McMahon

“I have had a great experience with Dragon Paste. Takes the edge off without making them dull. My horse felt more relaxed and focused but still had the power to perform. Would highly recommend.“

“We used the Dragon Paste on a young, reined cow horse being showed for the second time. The Dragon Paste worked great and allowed the mare to focus and relax while maintaining good energy to do her rein work pattern and cow work.”

Greg Crispin Performance Horses

“I tried this product on an older mare that gets a lot of anxiety in a loud rodeo atmosphere, she was calmer overall and much nicer to handle. It also did not take any of the run out of her and she performed brilliantly with a better mental focus overall, I would definitely recommend this product!”

“I have been using Equine Choice products for many years now and love them all. So, when I heard about Dragon Paste, I was thrilled as AshesTwo Dashes is a very excitable barrel racing horse. I can say usingthe product Dragon Paste has made a dramatic difference in her. It has helped maintain a “calm and cool” result without affecting her barrel horse attitude. Thank you, Equine Choice.”

Helpful Information & FAQs

Horses that are in training, competing, heavy work, and eating large amounts of grains or feeds benefit from Equine Choice supplements. Large meals quickly by-pass the stomach where starches and sugars end up in the hind gut causing lowered pH. This may result in excess gas, bloating, and hindgut acidosis. When good bacteria decrease the harmful bacteria in the hind gut start to take over. Equine Choice helps flourish the hind gut with beneficial bacteria, and regulates pH levels assisting in a proper functioning digestive system.

Horses that go off their feed, are under stress when showing, or do not drink well on long trips benefit from Equine Choice. Equine Choice paste can be given prior to shipping, while on the road, after arrival, and before showing for these types of horses.

A proper functioning digestive tract will assist with weight gain and effective digestion of hay and feeds. Equine Choice paste will restore the horse’s digestive system to normal function; then followed by the granular supplement to maintain and support.

Broodmares benefit from Equine Choice supplements prior to and after foaling. As the fetus grows, compresses, and crowds the mare’s digestive tract. This may result in digestive upset or the mare going off her feed. Equine Choice replenishes good bacteria and assists with appetite. The use of Equine Choice paste on mares who are off their feed, or foaling will help restore and support proper function of the digestive system and assist with appetite.

Equine Choice is not a treatment for colic due to twists or impaction, but may help prevent these issues with a proper functioning digestive system. Equine Choice supplements are not a substitute for proper veterinary care.

Horses have evolved to be continually feeding, which means acid is continuously secreted into the stomach. This means that prolonged periods without food to neutralise that acid can lead to ulcerations. When horses are denied free access to feed or fail to eat, ulcers can develop rapidly. The use of Equine Choice AFX, along with Equine Choice Granular Supplement daily, the stomach acid will be buffered and a coating will line the stomach to assist in repairing ulcerations.

Many factors can be the cause of loose stool or diarrhea including sickness, toxin ingestion, bad bacteria, or grain overload. To stop this metabolic issue a horse needs to rebalance the good bacteria and digestive enzymes. The Equine Choice Prebiotic + Probiotic paste will quickly replenish good bacteria, and bind with toxins to assist with the toxin removal. The paste will reduce diarrhea and in some cases, eliminate it while restoring proper digestive function. Using Equine Choice granular daily will help prevent this from reoccurring.

IR is the loss of insulin sensitivity on a cellular level. The horse will become intolerant to carbohydrates and sugars. This issue is typically related to obesity and laminitis in horses. Proper function of the digestive system is essential to ensuring the excess sugars and carbohydrates are not pushed through to the hind gut where they can cause a buildup of lactic acid, lower the pH, and destroy beneficial bacteria. Equine Choice has digestive enzymes to assist with carbohydrate digestion and will help maintain the natural balance of the hind gut to assist with fibre fermentation.

The prebiotic in Equine Choice will bind with toxins and assist in removal from the horses digestive tract. The good bacteria and yeast will assist with fibre digestion and maintain healthy mucosal lining.
